The high-tech instruments used by IC systems allow engineers to gather information about more than just the asphalt alone. They also provide key data about whatever materials lay beneath asphalt. In other words, IC is able to provide helpful information about areas where the ground is weak, unstable, or otherwise structurally defective. This allows the project managers to make adjustments and changes to ensure a safe, solid result.
